Description

Harvested in 2023 from mature tea bushes in Fujian, this traditional Shou Mei expresses the more rustic side of white tea. Made primarily from larger leaves naturally sun-withered and gently dried, it delivers a deeper body and a rounder structure than delicate Bai Mudan or Silver Needle.

The liquor pours a warm golden hue, revealing notes of dried apricot, sun-dried hay, and a soft woody sweetness. Its texture is generous yet smooth — grounding rather than floral.

Shou Mei, meaning “Longevity Eyebrow,” has long been appreciated for its evolving character. Even lightly aged, the leaves begin to develop subtle earthy undertones while preserving their natural sweetness. It is a tea for daily ritual — steady, comforting, and quietly complex.

Tasting Notes
