Description

Sourced from Tongmuguan in the Wuyi Mountains — the historical birthplace of black tea, this Chigan offers a pure, unsmoked expression of one of China’s most iconic tea regions.

Crafted from the local Qizhong cultivar, the leaves are carefully oxidized without the traditional pinewood smoking used for Lapsang Souchong. This reveals a more precise and transparent profile, shaped entirely by terroir and craftsmanship.

The liquor is clear amber with a soft glow. Aromatically, it opens with notes of dried fruit and warm wood. On the palate, it is smooth and structured, with flavors of cocoa, honeyed grain, and a gentle mineral depth that lingers without heaviness.

Balanced and quietly complex, Tongmuguan Chigan is an elegant interpretation of Wuyi black tea — less about intensity, more about clarity, origin, and refinement.
