High in the TsuiFeng mountains of Taiwan, a small number of oolong harvests develop an unusually aromatic profile reminiscent of ripe fruit and wild honey. This muscatel character is not induced, but the result of precise timing, altitude, and natural interaction between leaf and environment.
Produced in very limited quantities from the tea fields of Lin Shih-Wei (林世偉), this oolong is carefully oxidized to preserve clarity while allowing its natural fruit complexity to emerge. The leaves are lightly roasted to stabilize the profile without muting its aromatics.
The liquor is luminous amber. On the palate, soft muscat grape notes lead, followed by honeyed sweetness and a gentle warmth. The texture remains smooth and composed, with a long, elegant finish that evolves across infusions.
Rare and expressive, this TsuiFeng Muscatel is a quiet demonstration of how subtle shifts in nature and craft can yield something singular.
