Description

This matcha is crafted for pure, traditional consumption, prepared with water only. It is not designed for lattes, sweetened drinks, or culinary use. This is a ceremonial-grade matcha in the strict Japanese sense: first harvest leaves, stone-ground, produced in limited quantities, and intended for mindful preparation.

Cultivar & Craft

The tea plants are shaded for several weeks before harvest to increase chlorophyll and amino acid concentration, especially L-theanine. Only the youngest leaves are hand-selected, steamed immediately after picking, then slowly stone-ground to preserve aroma, texture, and nutritional integrity.

Grinding is deliberately slow, producing a powder of exceptional fineness and natural vibrancy.

Appearance

A deep, luminous jade green, luminous jade green, matte and dense.
Extremely fine texture — silky to the touch, without graininess.

Tasting Notes

On the palate, the first impression is round and umami-driven, followed by gentle vegetal sweetness. The texture is creamy and smooth, with no bitterness when properly prepared. The finish is long, calm, and slightly sweet, leaving a clean, focused sensation.

This is a matcha that invites slowness rather than intensity.

Tasting Notes

Fresh and vegetal, with notes of young grass, sweet greens, and a subtle marine freshness. Clean, elegant, never sharp.
